What is the difference between account registration and activation?

Account activation and registration is a two-step process that must be completed to obtain login details for your online members access.

Registration must be completed before activation.

Registration
During the registration process, you will need to provide us with your name, membership number, current mobile phone and email address, as well as your date of birth. These are checked against our database. If the details you provide do not match those we hold on file, you will be notified and will need to contact us to update our records before being able to complete the registration process. You will be notified on screen if the registration process has been successful. You will then need to wait to receive two codes from us before undertaking the next step.
Activation
Activation can only be completed after you have received two activation codes from us. You will receive one by email to the address we hold on file, and one by SMS sent to the mobile number we hold on file. You will need both codes to activate your account in the second part of the process. You will also be able to select your own PIN number as part of the activation process.
What functionality is available to me online?

Register for online member access to manage your FAIRshare account 24/7. Once registered and activated you can access the following services.

Balances
View your savings and loan balances.
Statements
View, download and print statements.
Internal transfers
Request to transfer money between your FAIRshare accounts. Requests will be actioned during working hours, and we'll send you a confirmation text once completed.
Share withdrawals
Request money transfers from your FAIRshare account to your bank or building society, providing we have the account details set up on your account. Requests will be actioned during working hours, and we'll send you a confirmation text once completed. Please call Member Services on 01952 200200 or visit a branch to add or amend account details.
Secure messaging
Send and receive secure messages about your FAIRshare account. Messages will be processed during working hours.
How do I register my account?

To benefit from online members access, you must complete a two-step registration and activation process. Once you have successfully completed registration you will be sent two activation codes (one by email and the other by SMS to the details we hold on your file). These are then used to activate your account.

Before proceeding, you will need to ensure you have told us of your current postal address, mobile telephone number and email address. If you have not notified us of these please contact us by telephone to update your record. You will need the following information to complete the registration.

Member ID
Your unique membership number which identifies you.
Email address
Your email address must be currently registered with FAIRshare (one of the two activation codes will be sent to this address).
Mobile number
A valid mobile telephone number (One of two activation codes will be sent to this number).

Once you have access to the information above you can now register for online members access. Just follow the steps as shown below.

Open FAIRshare members access site
Navigate to the members access site located at https://secure.fairshare.uk.com/
Select "Register" from the menu
You will be redirected to the registration form.
Complete the form
Name
Membership ID
Date of birth
Registered email address
Registered telephone number
Review and agree to FAIRshare's terms and conditions
Register
Click the "Register" button. If your personal information matches our records you will be redirected and notified that your account has been successfully registered.
How do I log in?

To use our online members access you must first register. To do so click the link in the navigation menu. Once that is complete you can now login. Please follow the instructions below to login to your online members access account. You must first have the following information at hand.

Member ID
Your unique membership number which identifies you.
PIN
Your secure PIN that you received or have set yourself.

Once you have access to the information above you can now login to online members access. Just follow the steps as shown below.

Open FAIRshare members access site
Navigate to the members access site located at https://secure.fairshare.uk.com/
Enter your member ID and PIN
Use the fields at the top right of the screen to enter your credentials.
Login
Click the "Login" button or press enter on your keyboard. If your account credentials are activated and correct you will now be redirected to online members access where you can manage your account.
